KAT-TUN Tanaka Watches Yama-P Solo Concert and Reminisces about Old Times [27/11/09]:
KAT-TUN member Tanaka Koki went to see the solo concert held by NEWS member Yamashita Tomohisa (a.k.a. Yama-P). He also looked back at some memorable incidents.
Tanaka "A while ago I went to see Yama-P's concert! He looked brilliant. We used to go to the same high school, where we enjoyed doing stupid things and getting scolded by the teachers. I slept over at Yama-P's house and then inviting Yama-P to my home. Although we were performing as Johnny's members I naturally felt that we were closer as classmates.
After we costarred in the drama series '白虎隊 / Byakkotai', I started to consider him as a 'colleague' as well. When we were filming '白虎隊 / Byakkotai', above anything else I didn't want to 'lose' to him.
Now we've grown up, and I saw the person I had done stupid things together and had worked together unflinchingly perform at a big concert. It felt kind of funny, but it made me think that I have to do my best to perform just as hard as Yama-P.
Since I've been talking about 'Akira,' I should talk about 'Shuji' as well! ['Shuji to Akira' was an artist duo formed by Yamashita and KAT-TUN member Kamenashi; Yamashita was called 'Akira', while Kamenashi became 'Shuji'.] Two days after my birthday, Kame-chan [Kamenashi] and I went out to eat dinner together to celebrate! I requested that we eat 'shabu-shabu'♪ ['Shabu-shabu; しゃぶしゃぶ' is a type of Japanese dish similar to the Chinese dish 'hot pot'.]
We talked about a lot of things...about our future, our careers and trivial things too. Don't worry Kame-chan, I'm 24 years old. I'm an adult now. I'll work hard and move forward one step at a time so I can go head to head with everybody!
I don't know what we'd be doing several years from now...let's just do our best. Let's do our utmost, and overcome any obstacles that get in our way...and a few years from now we should again go and eat shabu-shabu and have fun!
'Akira' and 'Shuji' have given me strength. They made me feel I should continue to work hard! From this month I'm planning to take dance lessons. I like dancing so I'm looking forward to it!!"
Since they're so close together, they are able to become good influences for each other. As they continue to compete with each other, their relationships will last for years to come!

being a avid Kokame fan, it's always heartening for me to read about their closeness!
but it's nice to know Koki-kun has a good friendship with Yamapi too

being a avid Kokame fan, it's always heartening for me to read about their closeness!
but it's nice to know Koki-kun has a good friendship with Yamapi too 
...but at the same time, I would still be happy for him, as long as he is happy, then I will be happy for him!
) and also, just ignore the lip piercing mark out, since that turned out to be a mistake.
