Recently KAT-TUN member Nakamaru has become fond of several cosmetic items! What are they?

"Hi, this is Nakamaru Yuichi. Compared to a while ago there are a wide variety of cosmetic items for men. So today I'm going to tell you about some I'm often using. After washing my face I usually apply toning lotion or if my skin's really dry some cream to moisten it. As for face wash I recommend 'OXY'. I first learned about it when one of the [KAT-TUN] members appeared in a TV commercial for 'OXY'. It becomes bubbly in a short amount of time, takes care of stains and you feel refreshed after using it. So I think it's a good choice even for women who want to refresh themselves. As for toning lotions I've recently started to use 'Goku-jyun-α (極潤α)', which is part of line of skincare products called 'Hada Labo (肌研)'. It has 'super hyaluronic acid' in it and it really helps keep the skin moist. By far I think this is the best combination."

Nakamaru seriously cares about his skin! With that much attention his good looks might become even better!

[gossip] Maru dating a much younger girl?

Normally I'm not one of those people who dig gossips...but I don't know, lately I've been having the urge to post some recent gossips & rumors which have been published about some of the KAT-TUN guys. I really don't know why...I guess as a fan, not only do you focus on all the positives of your idol, sometimes you really have to face all those negative publicity, or outrageous rumors or gossips about your idol too. As idols, these celebrities attract all kinds of attention; the good, the bad, and the just plain silly and sometimes, funny publicity.
With the KAT-TUN guys, sometimes the gossips spread about them can be a bit of either good, bad or silly, or all...but for me personally, I find most of them just plain stupid and in some cases, pretty damn humorous! Remember the gossip I posted up some days ago about those tattoos which were "alleged" to be Koki's?

Anyway, this time the "target" of the gossips mill is none other than papa Maru...quite surprising since over the years, Koki, Kame and Jin have mainly been the ones surrounded by all these gossips & rumors.
So what has Japanese gossip diggers come up with about Maru? Well, he is "claimed" to be dating a high school girl who is much younger than him, she's reported to be only 17 years old, and according to the gossips, Maru is "smitten" with her and "couldn't stop talking about her" to his friends & colleagues. This allegedly came from a "Johnny's insider"(...yeah...right)

I think what some people might have a problem with about this piece of gossip is the age difference between them, Maru is 26 years old this year, so there's a 9 yrs age gap with them...some would argue that she's way too young for him, using the age gap as an excuse. For a 17 yrs old high school girl, some might picture her as still "under-aged" for Maru.
And then there's some who feels that age is just a number, and shouldn't matter.
For me, I'm not sure if I believe it or not...as much as I love Maru, frankly, I'm not familiar of his reputation with gossips, and my knowledge about his lovelife is even more vague...all I ever knew was that he had been linked to 2 women over the years (don't even know their names)...so does this new girl make up the 3rd?
Being this clueless, I guess I really don't know what I think about it...sure I have doubts...but I'm also not confident enough to believe it's false either.
But if (I mean IF) this is true...I personally wouldn't think too much about it, and would actually be happy for Maru, as long as the couple are happy together, who are we to judge them?

What do you guys think? And remember, these are GOSSIPS after all...we should always be wary when we read reports like these.

'Duet' mag 2009 translations [Nakamaru]

Worrywart
Though I always get told “You’re worrying too much!” by the members, I am self-aware of it and want to fix it. Worrying too much causes mental fatigue…. During my solo stage play too, due to that I was tired before I started (laugh). However, mysteriously I don’t worry about KAT-TUN’s concerts. I suppose it’s because I feel at ease with companions around.

Ambition
Of course I’ve had it all along, but isn’t it better to have more of it? Especially when it comes to beatboxing, I think it’ll be no good if I’m not ambitious. Furthermore, to acquire new techniques rapidly, ambition is necessary. And one will not improve and be recognized by people if one has no ambition.

Studies and games
It goes without saying that juggling both studies and work is a given; I’ve already been doing that, as the next goal, I will juggle studies and gaming! Among my friends, there are some who play extremely well in games and score well in studies too. They do what they should do; I think it’s cool to be able to have fun in hobbies. I also want to be such a man!

Physical remodeling
Last year, there were really many who said that I was ‘skinny’. Although from duet’s information collection it was announced that I ‘gained 2kg!’, now it’s increased by around 1.5kg. I eat to my fill; I think it’s due to the muscle training for my drama. I’ll keep up the training like this, and develop more muscles, and work hard such that I won’t be called ‘skinny’ again!

Drama
I work to the best of my ability in 「RESCUE ~特別高度救助隊」 (RESCUE ~Tokubetsukoudo Kyuujotai) (TBS Saturday 7.56pm~). So as not to disappoint those who watch the drama, I will exhaust all the strength I have. Previously, there was a scene whereby I was to be seized by the collar by the captain. Because we had to redo the scene so many times, I got a bruise around my chest (laugh). But because it was such a passionate drama I’m happy to be shooting it.

Solo stage play
Last year, I did a stage play 「中丸君の楽しい時間」 (Nakamaru-kun no Tanoshii Jikan) by myself and because I had so much fun and a sense of satisfaction, if I get a chance I want to do it again! Regularly, if possible. With regard to emotions, there were portions that were very difficult, but to me those are good experiences that benefit me. The interesting thing about a solo stage play is the part where your thoughts materialize.

Nakamaru aka "Maru" is the oldest member of the group. The first JE idol to prominently showcase beatboxing and vocal percussion ability, Nakamaru learned by diligently studying hundreds of examples from hip-hop albums after KAT-TUN was formed. His primary motivation was to set himself apart from the rest of the members since he did not want to be seen as dull. He often shares MC duties with Kamenashi but in private, is rather shy and reserved and whose meek nature particularly shows when amongst strangers. He is currently studying at Waseda University reading Environmental Studies. He writes his solo songs. He is also the first member to do a solo stage show -- performing songs, dance, beat boxing and skits for two weeks in August 2008.
