also, according to a particular recent mag report, it seems the guys are going to release a 3rd single later this year! There's still no further details about this report at this moment.

BtR Tokyo Dome concerts fan report [May 15-22]!

2009-05-26 11:57

Apparently without my knowledge beforehand, a friend of mine in Japan attended ALL 8 nights of the BtR concerts in Tokyo Dome!

Actually...there really aren't any new details to report other than the usual we already know...

I just finished reading her report she sent me, and it was basically the same as the other fan reports I read...all the little Kokame details she outlined had already been mentioned in previous reports, but it's still nice to read her words.

I didn't even know she went to the concerts as we hadn't been in touch for a few months (we had both been so busy with our own lives), so I was pleasantly surprised when I suddenly got a call from her all the way from Tokyo!

Note: Before you read on, be advised that I mainly just mention the Kokame parts, since I'm such a avid fan of them!If you don't like Kokame, then maybe you might not want to read the report. Only read on if you're willing to know about Kokame details!

BtR concerts return to Tokyo Dome!

2009-05-26 01:37

Just a little correction...previously I thought that they had canceled the last few concert nights held at tokyo dome in July for their ongoing BtR concerts. But it seems that either I personally had mis-read the reports or it was someone else who I read the reports from, because based on recent very creditable report, those concert nights are still on as planned. And their upcoming summer concert tour will commence from July 22 to August 23, straight after the BtR concert tour.
I have already posted the concert schedules for the upcoming summer tour in this entry.

[News] KAT-TUN concerts may qualify for Guinness

2009-05-25 17:23

KAT-TUN concerts may qualify for Guinness [May 24, 2009]:

On Friday, popular boy band KAT-TUN completed their record-setting run of eight consecutive days of concerts at the Tokyo Dome. With a full house of about 55,000 fans at each show, a total of roughly 440,000 people attended the concerts.

Last year, KAT-TUN performed four consecutive days at the Dome. At the time, it tied for the record with British rocker Sting, who also did a four-day stretch there in 1988. However, KAT-TUN's recent concerts have now doubled that record.

Their management agency, Johnny's Jimusho, is hoping to have this achievement officially recognized as a Guinness World Record under "most consecutive concerts at a venue with a capacity of 50,000." It appears that someone affiliated with Guinness happened to be at the Tokyo Dome, so the agency has requested verification of the record.

With the success of these concerts, KAT-TUN has scheduled many more to extend their tour. They had originally planned for these 8 shows to be followed by 3 at Osaka Dome on May 29-31 and 2 more at Tokyo Dome on June 14-15. They have now added 17 more shows in 6 other cities, starting in July.

This is fantastic news, given that our guys are catching the attention outside of Asia, I hope they'll officially be added to the records, they would be internationally recognized for their popularity and achievements!

New concert nights!

2009-05-23 20:49

There has been a change of plans regarding their BtR concert tour...they've just completed their 8 consecutive days at Tokyo dome, they'll be performing in Osaka next. Initially it was planned that they will then return to Tokyo dome for another few nights. But according to recent reports, it seems that won't happen...instead, they will have a summer tour with concerts held in other cities across Japan to top off their BtR tour!

Here's the new dates for the new concert tour courtesy of annetanhe @ LJ:

OKINAWA:
July 22nd (Wed): 6pm
July 23rd (Thurs): 6pm

SENDAI:
Aug 1st (Sat): 6pm
Aug 2nd (Sun): 1pm/5pm

HIROSHIMA::
Aug 8th (SAT): 6pm
Aug 9th (Sun): 12pm/4pm

FUKUOKA:
Aug 12th (Wed): 6pm
Aug 13th (Thurs): 2pm/6pm

NIIGATA:
Aug 15th (Sat): 6pm
Aug 16th (Sun): 12pm/4pm

HOKKAIDO:
Aug 22nd (Sat): 6pm
Aug 23rd (Sun): 1pm/5pm

so the tour will commence after the BtR concerts.

These guys are extremely busy this year...after performing the last 8 nights, they're all so exhausted...but to us fans, seeing them working so hard and putting so much effort into this despite how tired they are, it's very heartwarming and admirable! Seeing them so dedicated to their work and their fans, reminds me of how proud I am to be a KAT-TUN fan!

Hype surrounding the BtR concerts

2009-05-22 17:18

There's really not much new updates on KAT-TUN now, apart from their usual projects, there's really nothing new to report. Everyone seems to be so pre-occupied with the BtR concerts, there's so much hype around these concerts. And you can read many fan reports about these concert nights at KTlove.

There's many reports of fan service of various pairs, there's also a lot of very humorous moments, mentioned in these fan reports.

Also, for those who are trying to find fancams of various moments during these concerts, there's alot available at J-One Records.

But just to remind everyone that tonight will be the last concert of the 8 consecutive nights @ Tokyo Dome, their next destination is Osaka. And speaking of Osaka, there's still no confirmations on whether or not JE has postphoned their concerts in Osaka, it seems they're still discussing the problem. But I hope it all goes to plan.
