'Wink Up' July mag scans

Lately my good friend in japan has been sending me tonnes of recent magazine scans of KAT-TUN! She bought a whole lot of mags and scanned these herself! Cho arigatou!

Because there's LOTS of scans from various mags, I'll be posting them a batch at a time...last time I posted the 'Duet' scans, here are the scans of Wink Up mag July issue...

I had to adjust the sizes of these scans dramatically, so they won't jam my server...the original scans were much too big to upload onto my server.

Kame spotted out with family

fanofsam @ Asianfanatics reported that she read in a japanese blog that Kame was seen in a cafe with his family, and he seemed to be happy and in very high spirits at the time.

Please be advised that this particular siting is not confirmed...although I want to think it is true, because it would be very reassuring to know that he's taken a well-deserved break (even if it's just a very brief one) to be with his family, I think considering all the hardships he has been through these past few months, he deserves a break and be around the people who love him the most.

This year so far has been a very tough one for Kame, hopefully he will be given some decent time off to recuperate after he completes his work for the rest of the year.

Koki's 11th Anniversary j-web entry!

I'm hungry
Today was a full day of shoot since this morning
And
Today's my 11th Anniversary since I joined
It's been a long
I've been here for half my life
I was 12 back then
I was a normal average kid
I wasn't exceptionally smart
Nor was I exceptionally good at sports
I couldn't sing, nor could I act or dance.
My mum just brought me to the audition out of the blue and I thought, since I was doing it, I wanted to do my best but I thought it was impossible.
Everyone was doing backflips and singing, but I could only do some somersaults at best.
But I was called to work, a little bit by bit...
My life started to change from this very day, 11 years ago
It felt weird initially...

few bits here and there

just some little updates I gathered...

- There will be a Gokusen SP aired on July 11 on TV Asahi at 9pm to 10.54pm to promote the much anticipated upcoming movie. The casts in the movie across all 3 seasons are expected to be there, Kame is most certainly going to be there as he is one of the mains, as well as Nakama Yukie...Oguri Shun, Narimiya Hiroki, Ishigaki Yuma, Hayami Mokomichi, Miura Haruma etc are all expected to be there also...although there's still no official announcements on who exactly will attend, but these are some of the most likely.
The SP will also commemorate 7 years history of the live action series.
The movie will be out on the same day; July 11.

- And while we're on the subject of movies, there are talks that promotions for Jin's upcoming movie Bandage will begin in december...the movie is scheduled to be released next year.

- Movies aside...the group's most recent album Break the Records -by you & for you- was #12 on the Oricon half-yearly top 50 albums rankings with 237,145 copies sold...it's below expected ranking, but still a good result nonetheless.
I think the problem may be since the album contains many of their best ever hit singles, their fans have pretty much bought the singles already...so that factor may have impacted on the sales...perhaps if the album contained more new songs, then maybe it would sell more. And not to mention their 2 new singles One Drop and Rescue and the album were released only a month apart from each other...I think the release dates were too close to each other.
Music downloads have also become very popular in Japan, some people download the songs instead of buying the album. 5 of KAT-TUN's songs were in the top 10 most downloaded ranking...I think more people are starting to download their songs instead, which isn't good news for CD sales.
But on a more positive note, as expected, these guys managed to secure their positions in the oricon top 10 half yearly rankings for both Singles and DVD.

Koki is such a sweetie isn't he?Indeed, he really loathed being part of KAT-TUN in the beginning, but now he values his "roots"he would not be the Tanaka Koki we all know if he isn't part of this dynamic unit!
