Sorry KAT-UN fans, this is yet another Koki-only entry!

Ginoru shared 2 fantastic links in the Koki thread at AF, arigatou Gin-san!
Firstly, one link contained some really kawaii & interesting photos of Koki, obviously they were taken some years ago, but I still wanted to share them with everyone, I've re-uploaded them up:

Secondly, can you believe that Koki was a university teacher? It's true! According to this page:

he was a teacher of Chinese for the Tourism & Culture department (if I read correctly)! So I'm guessing he's quite good with the Chinese language? Sugoi ne? We always learn something new about Koki each time, he never fails to amaze & impress me, my ichiban indeed!
EDIT: Oops! Seems like Ginoru & I both made a mistake! I mis-read the kanji, this teacher is someone else, who just happens to have a similar name to Koki!

'Myojo' October mag scans

My dad just came back a few days ago from Tokyo; Japan for a job break (he has his own business in Tokyo), and brought back some goodies for me; magazines, lollies, gadgets etc...one of the mags is the recent october issue of Myojo mag! He knows I am a hardcore fan of KAT-TUN, so when he saw them featured in the mag, he bought it for me!Too bad I can't read much of it though!But it's the thought that counts, arigatou otousan!
Because I still have to wait a week before I can get my scanner back from the repair shop, initially I wanted to wait till then to scan the pages and upload them. But since I was able to find some scans on google...there's a few pages missing though, this is all I could find from the mag...I don't download these scans, just find whatever is available on google. So please credit whoever originally uploaded these scans.

'Wink Up' August mag translations!

Here are the translations of KAT-TUN's interview with Wink Up mag august issue courtesy of hopelessheartz at aporigize!

The topic was 'letters'...here's Koki-kun's portion (he's such a sweetie!)

Tanaka Koki:

[Memory You Can't Erase]
I don't really send out messages but I've been sent some by friends and I accept the mails happily. I have many mails relating to my friends but I also have ones from my family. From before now I still have mails from my mother, important ones that I absolutely cannot erase so I enter them into my memory card.

[Memory of a Love Letter]
Around when I was in middle school, since we already had emails I guess receiving letters just didn't really happen. But the ones I received...around one or two I guess? Because you properly prepare and take the letters, they linger more than a mail would. But with fan letters, when I get something that seems hand-written it makes me happy. When they expresses their love I'm like "Ah, she probably wrote this with her greatest effort." Somehow it boosts up my good feelings.

To my costars and staff from "Hissatsu Shigotonin"
"Thanks with a lot of love."
Because I was participating in the middle they had a sort of "Why did that guy come here?" look when they saw me, but they warmly welcomed me. The staff had said "Koki-kun, no matter what, you should continue with the drama" and it made me really happy. Because "~Shigotonin" is a series, it definitely wasn't the last and I'm thinking about meeting with everyone again. I want to do it with the same team.

[News] KAT-TUN's Jin Akanishi to Participate in Crystal Kay’s 10th Anniversary Album

KAT-TUN's Jin Akanishi to Participate in Crystal Kay’s 10th Anniversary Album [19/8/2009]:

Singer Crystal Kay (23) will release her greatest hits album ‘BEST of Crystal Kay’ on September 2nd. Recently the details of the limited first edition premium version were announced. It includes a total of four songs, all of which became main theme songs for TV programs and soundtracks for TV commercials. Female vocal group Perfume producer Nakata Yasutaka is credited as one of the album’s producers. KAT-TUN member Jin Akanishi is also featured in the album as well. Nakata commented about the recording. “I’ve made and recorded countless songs, but the moment I heard her [Crystal Kay] sing in the studio, I immediately felt she had something special. Something that ‘clicks’.” On August 18th from 18:00 Crystal Kay will perform live at Nippon TV’s ‘Zoom Super Stage’ in Shiodome, Tokyo.

it's not a very big news, but at least it's something...Jin has been so in-active individually lately...but I'm guessing with all the promotions for his upcoming Bandage movie scheduled to begin at the end of the year, he'll be busy then.

Jin & Kame on MNet Wide 'Super 100 flower boys 2009' list!

Ok, I know this list came out earlier this year in February, and I'm sure many of you have seen this already, but I only found out about this a moment ago!

Well, every year, MNet releases their list of top 100 "flower boys", it's a Korea-based popularity ranking sort of thing, and as you would expect, the list mainly consists of Korean celebs...but often there are still some non-Korean stars lurking in the list too, and this year, both Kame and Jin were on the last!
Jin is quite high up this year at #17; he is just 1 position behind Micky Yoochun from DBSK/TVXQ. While Kame is lower down the list at #40, he is just ahead of Sungmin from Super Junior...although he missed out in top 20, but Kame is ahead of many other popular Korean celebs on the list...and it's not easy for non-Korean celebs to have high positions on this kind of Korean-based list, so Jin's position on the list is considering high, and Kame's is quite good too. Omedatou to both!
Hopefully they'll be on the list again next year!

'Pop Eye' Sept mag scans (Kame)

Here's more mag scans from my close friend Ami-chan!

These are of Kame from the latest Pop Eye mag! Although this particular mag has always had a reputation of taking the most amazing and "eye popping" photos of celebs, these recent shots of Kame still surprised me, because it has been a while since I last saw him with a cigarette in his mouth!
Even though Kame is fully clothed in these latest shots...unlike for previous issues of the mag when he revealed more skin, and even a shot of his undies showing! He still looks just as kakkoi & sexy in these recent ones, don't you agree?
