[news] KAT-TUN Live DVD!

KAT-TUN Live DVD! [11/11/09]:

Popular boy band KAT-TUN will release a new live DVD on December 16th. The DVD is entitled KAT-TUN Live Break the Records, named after their album of the same name, which came out in April this year. The DVD features footage of their performance on June 15th at the Tokyo Dome, which was held to promote the aforementioned album.

KAT-TUN certainly broke the records this year in May, as they held eight consecutive performances at the legendary Tokyo Dome, for which they are now noted in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The DVD will be released in a regular and a limited edition. The limited edition will come with a bonus disc including tour documentary footage with interviews and behind the scenes footage. The DVD can already be pre-ordered at CDJapan.

Yatta! Now I'm really excited for this dvd!

I hope there will be a overseas version of this concert dvd, since I can't buy the original Japanese versions, as I can't watch them in my country

so I always need to get the overseas versions. I have my fingers crossed & praying for a overseas version of this dvd! *fingers crossed* If there will be, then it's a MUST addition to my KAT-TUN dvd collection!

By the way, if I read the article correctly, it says that KAT-TUN are now recorded in the Guinness book of Records for their BtR concerts @ Tokyo Dome right? I hope it's true! They deserve it!

For all the Kokame fans! There's a little kawaii snippet from Potato Dec '09 mag translation with Kokame...Koki acting "jealous" over Yamapi for being close to Kame! lol Very kawaii!

Also a translation from a staff's blog about Jin & his upcoming solo performance on 'Music Station' with LANDS (his band in 'BANDAGE').
There's also a recent newspaper clipping of Kame too.

bleh...I haven't been doing much searching at all for KAT-TUN news these past few days...sorry, have been busy with other things & work etc...but I have uploaded some more old cms of KT...hope you enjoy them!

I just uploaded this 1 a moment ago, it's the full version of a cm for DoCoMo 'Freedom' hands free, so it's much longer than the usual 15/30 secs cms, this 1 is 1m & 26 secs long, came out in 2007:

Akanishi Jin's Sexy Singing Excites Crowds [5/11/09]:

On November 2nd a special preview event of the film 'BANDAGE' was held. As Akanishi and the other cast members made their way onto the stage, loud screams erupted from the audience. The director Kobayashi lauded Akanishi. "I personally requested to have Akanishi play the lead role. He quickly executed whatever I asked him to do. He exceeded all expectations." The costars also praised Akanishi. "Akanishi-san was very friendly and made everyone relax." "Although he acts as if he doesn't care, he actually is gentle and was constantly caring about the other members." Akanishi looked slightly embarrassed but managed to say "I'm flattered (laugh)." The crowd laughed to see Akanishi acting so shyly. He then commented about the film. "The worldview was brilliant. I immediately fell in love with it."
In the film Akanishi's character fronts a five member rock band called 'LANDS'. The role seemed to have become a natural part of him. Just like in the movie, he and the other actors who played the band members could be seen smiling and joking with each other throughout the event. Even while they were onstage they whispered among themselves and shared a few laughs. Kobayashi, while smiling at the five actors, said he was satisfied with the work he'd done. "Since I'm originally from the music industry, it was my first time to direct a movie. But there was no stress, and I was able to relax and enjoy the whole process." [Kobayashi is famous as a music producer.]
For each of the 1000 tickets for a seat at the event, 300 fans applied. They were treated to an unexpected surprise. After the movie ended, the real LANDS members started to perform live. Kaneko wildly beat the drums, the director Kobayashi played the keyboard while the vocalist Akanishi sang seductively. Soon everyone was on their feet. LANDS played aggressively throughout their performance.
'BANDAGE' is set in the 1990s, when rock bands were all the rage in Japan. The young main characters work hard to achieve their dreams, but eventually discord surfaces, and they eventually find themselves on the brink of dissolving the band. The movie also takes a jab at the dark side of the music industry

secondly, now that Dream Boys 2009 has finished, fanofsam in Kame's thread @ AF has reported that she read from a fan's blog that Kame is currently taking a break from work & he's going on a holiday to Okinawa with his family! I'm glad to see him now taking a well-deserved rest after a very busy & tough yr this yr, hope he takes it easy & enjoys his break with his family to recuperate!

Channel [V]'s Battle of the Pop; Japan vs Korea results!

Ok, from my last report about Channel [V]'s BoP; Japan vs Korea, we all know that KAT-TUN were battling their senpai Arashi in the final round...we also know that the final round ended on October 25th, with the votes in that round hidden. The final results were aired on TV on Channel [V] on November 1 @ 2pm in Hong Kong & Singapore & 3pm in Malaysia.

Ever since then, I have been searching for the final results online, since I don't live in HK/SG or MAL...and I finally found the results today on Arashi_On! As expected, Arashi won the battle & was crowned the 'champion' of this 'Battle of the Pop'. I think ever since it was revealed that KAT-TUN & senpai Arashi were going head to head in the final round, we all had that sinking feeling that it would be very hard for us to beat Arashi & win...but hey, at least we tried & as long as we believe in our hearts that we have tried our best & put up a good fight, that's all it really matters!

Winning is not always important, regardless of what the outcome is, as long as we believe that KT are the best in our hearts, then that's what's really important!

Besides, we still really deserve to pat ourselves on the back, since even though we were unable to beat Arashi at the end...we still managed to beat 2 of Korea's heavyweights; Big Bang & DBSK/TVXQ in round 1 & 3

And I think if our KT guys were to know how dedicated we fans are & how much we support them, I'm sure they'll be really happy!

Anyway, here are the final results...

Total votes in final round:
Arashi: 20,304 votes
KAT-TUN: 14,106 votes

TOTAL SCORE OVERALL (Leader Board):
1) Arashi [Japan] - 101,171 votes
2) KAT-TUN [Japan] - 84,579 votes
3) DBSK/TVXQ [Korea] - 68,888 votes
4) Super Junior [Korea] - 33,464 votes
5) Nakashima Mika [Japan] - 21,267 votes

As you can see from the leaderboard, Japan wins taking 1st, 2nd & 5th positions! And for KAT-TUN to be in #2 is still great!
